Daniele Lima has acted as a consultant in Marketing, for MDI Radiology since 2009. Invited initially to advise on the strategy for the marketing department, he subsequently trained marketing staff, sales managers  andsales representatives, and further developed and taught the Diploma of Management course concurrently to several of our staff including some of our middle managers, who had no formal management training previously. He now consults within the marketing team on a regular basis, as a supportand development agent.

Daniele brings with him a skill set that is rarely seen in a consultant. Obviously he "knows his stuff" and comes with an A368 of experience. It is however his quiet soft manner and gentle persuasive techniques that set him apart form the others, particularly as a change agent. UCB Pharma contracted the services of Mr. Daniele Lima to conduct field based sales coaching with a representative. This representative had been identified as needing intensive up skilling in their sales approach to the call. As Sales Manager responsible for this activity, I identified that the time component required would have been greater than I would have been able to devote to the program to ensure that it was completed in a time efficient manner.

For this reason, Daniele was contracted to do the field work, on the basis of his extensive experience with field coaching in the sales environment. The requirement was to assess the field skills against the UCB sales model and then to coach the representative appropriately.

Daniele completed three field visits with the representative over a four week period. These were conducted in a highly professional and inclusive manner. The representative was encouraged and motivated to take on the suggested changes to the sales process and calls.

Feedback from the representative indicated that the work done with Daniele was of extremely high value and had allowed the representative to feel more confident and in greater control of the call, and to gain more valuable information on a call than they had previously been able to achieve. I was very pleased with the activity of Daniele and the approach and professionalism shown to working with this representative. I would have no hesitation to using the services of Daniele again and to recommending him for work of this nature.

Listening to other people’s experiences and how they have made the transition from football to successful careers in sales was very interesting.
