The Road Scholars: Life Skills program is made up of various smaller yet important modules. In each case the module involves a popular topic, where for most people the the level of current knowledge, awareness or skill falls well below a level of high proficiency. Below is a brief outline of each module within the Life Skills program. These courses are specially designed to help sales representatives who already have a good feel for their products and markets. It provides the necessary skills to help achieve a marketing role in your industry. 

We all know how frustrating it can be when despite continually achieving high sales performance, others are awarded the marketing role we seek, because of a perceived lack marketing know how.

There are current three critical life skill course available:

Emotional Intelligence Course

The Emotional Intelligence  (E. I) module is designed to instruct people on emotional intelligence or an individuals capacity to deal effectively with both their own and other peoples emotional needs. historically companies have focused on a candidate's intelligence or (I.Q level). However in recent times their has been a fundamental shift away from simple I.Q focus to E.I. because countess amounts of research has clearly shown that individuals with high levels of E. I are much more likely to both succeed in their own roles and get along with other individuals in their work environment.   Individuals with high levels of personal E.I are therefore more attractive to potential employers.

You will:

bulletDefine Emotional Intelligence and the role that it plays in group dynamics
bulletIdentify the various aspects of emotional intelligence
bulletExplore the consequences of low levels of E.I in a group setting
bulletUnderstand ways of improving an individuals emotional intelligence

Completing this program may* qualify you for the nationally accredited unit of competency: PSPGOV516A Develop And Use Emotional Intelligence from the Diploma of Government.

Personality Profiling Course

The Road Scholars: Personality Profiles program demonstrates the four basic personality types to which all individuals belong. The program participants how to recognize the distinctive set of behaviors linked to each personality type and importantly what you need to do to effectively meet the needs of each group in a way that makes the individual comfortable with you, given your own personality profile. This heightened level of comfort is the basis upon which meaningful and long lasting relationships can be built over time. 

 

You will:

bulletDescribe the 4 basic personality profiles
bulletIdentify the specific behaviors that identify each individual personality profile
bulletUnderstand the needs of each personality profile
bulletUnderstand which behaviors and situations each group wants to avoid at all costs
bulletLearn the specific behavior modifications required to put individuals from each group at ease

 

Time Management

To provide the skills necessary for effective time management. The amount of time we all enjoy each day is finite and equal for all individuals. However how effectively people utilize their time varies significantly. This program will outline simple and practical methods which can be simply applied to make your time and efforts more effective.

You will:

bulletDefine what constitutes effective time management
bulletExplore possible aspects that lead to ineffective time management
bulletIdentify the key skills required for effective time management
bulletExamine ways to improve your personal time management skills
bulletConstruct a simple model that can be easily applied on a day by day basis

Completing this program may* qualify you for the nationally accredited unit of competency: BSBPM402A Apply Time Management Techniques from the Certificate IV in Project Management.

 

* Trainees wanting to gain the nationally accredited units of competency, will need to pay an additional $55.00 enrolment and administration fee. This fee will cover the costs associated with issuing a Statement of Attainment by the Registered Training Organisation: Vocational Pathways (TOID 21230).
